Merry Christmas! – Washington DC Photographer

….. well, not quite yet!

I”ve had so many newborns lately, I had to get my birth announcement gallery updated – and while I was at it, I got a few new Christmas card designs! I love them and I”m already having a hard time deciding which one I”m going to use for our own card! I put together a sample of them here…. There are MANY more in the gallery. If you are interested in a session in time for Christmas cards, let me know SOON!! The fall is here and we are booking up quick!

– for the record, I can”t believe how fast time is flying… my oldest baby just started “big school” in Kindergarten this week!!! He even rode the bus home today!! AH!! I”m so proud of him for being so independent and not even looking back as we dropped him off the first day. He has matured so much this summer!

This week one of my husbands cousins has been visiting from Kansas! Their little boy has had such a fun time playing with my boys and its cute to see B with someone close to his age – at first they werent quite sure why we kept putting them in front of each other!

Before they got here, cousin J told me she wanted to get some family pictures. I couldnt wait to try out a new spot Ive had my eye on since we got here. Northern Virginia is covered in these patches of yellow flowers — a photographers dream! (or at least mine!!)

Today I had the pleasure to meet the R family and little Mr. B. He came into the world a little bit early, so he was a little older than most of my newborns, but he was a perfect angel!

I love when clients have special items to capture with their newborns. Mom had a special knit hat (the blue and brown) made by Mr. B’’s grandmother, and a hankerchief bonnet worn by a great grandparent…. such a special treat!

I couldn”t have asked for a sweeter couple! I cannot wait to find out what they are having – I love that they already have a name picked out! Mom has been on bedrest for a while but we had to sneak outside for just a bit to enjoy some sunshine and grass in our toes

Next was Miss E, she was such a sweet sleepy girl! It was so nice to catch up with mom AND cuddle with her new baby girl! I know both of these big brothers will be protective and kind… those girls sure are sweet!

Last week I drove down to SC for one last round of client pics. Two of my friends from our playgroup in Columbia had baby girls in the same week! It was a quick trip and I sadly didn”t get to see all the people I would have liked to… there just never seems to be enough time! We are home now and hopefully getting fully settled in here!

AND…. I must add a Happy Birthday to my oldest….. C is FIVE today!! He will be starting school in a few weeks and I just can”t believe that it was 5 yrs ago he was a little one! I”m going to attempt birthday pictures for him (and B a little late) this week… wish me luck!

Bless her heart! She didn”t know what she was getting into when she offered to let us stay with her for a few days. We are a travelling circus!! HA!!

Thankfully, she let me photograph her beautiful boy again – you may remember him from the ATL mini sessions last fall… the gap baby! Well he’’s still gorgeous with white blonde hair and those big blue eyes!

I hope I”ve said it here before, but I love my job… I love that I get to meet new people and I am honored that they trust me to capture the personalities of their little ones. This sweetie was such a pleasure. She made my job easy! She was so brave and willing to do what I asked – even walk through the water and rocks (actually, she requested to get into the water!)

We had a great time. Mom, thanks for trusting me with your little one! I hope this sneak was worth the wait – the gallery will come soon!

Session 2 of 4 while we were in ATL was in downtown Roswell with these two cuties. We had a great time finding a secret garden and throwing pennies in the fountain.
