This one-day workshop is for photographers who want to move beyond simply learning poses and start understanding how to create beautiful newborn images with intention — using light, the baby’s natural movements, and a studio setup that makes the entire process easier.

We’ll work with a posing doll in the morning to teach fundamentals for lighting and safe posing, then a newborn model in the afternoon with time for you to photograph. I’ll teach you how I approach lighting, baby-led posing, transitions, and creating variety without needing a lot of props or complicated setups. 

You’ll see how I work in real time, including how I decide where to place the baby, how I use light to shape an image, and how I follow a baby’s cues rather than forcing them into poses that don’t feel natural.

We’ll also talk about studio setup and workflow — how to create a space that is beautiful, functional, and allows you to work efficiently while keeping your focus on the baby and the family.
