I was so happy when this momma wanted me to schedule family portraits with her husband, baby and their pup Grainger. Alicia is an amazing, local wedding photographer in Northern Virginia. You can view her work here! With a full family session, you can include your dog upon request. It’s helpful to bring another family member or friend to help as a dog handler during your family’s session.
Alicia and I talked about what she envisioned for family portraits and what she had in mind for her family to wear. Talking with clients about their wardrobe is so crucial before their session. I let clients know that I have clothing options in my studio wardrobe for babies and mothers, but that they are welcome to wear their own clothing if they choose. Alicia’s dress and sweater paired so well with her husband’s cozy sweater. Their family wore different, warm tones of cream and tan that coordinated beautifully!
